The Volvo Penta 874789 is a 6-pole EVC bus cable designed to connect the engine/PCU (Powertrain Control Unit) to the HCU (Helm Control Unit) in Volvo Penta Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) systems. It may also be used for the AUX bus. Volvo Penta documentation specifies one standard EVC bus cable per engine. The cable features 6-pin female connectors at both ends and is not intended to be used as an extension cable. It measures 5.0 meters in length, which is approximately 16.4 feet or 196.85 inches. Volvo Penta also offers this cable family in 7 m, 9 m, 11 m, and 13 m lengths under different part numbers.

Please Note: Part number 874789 is an older part number that has been superseded by Volvo Penta part number 23561737, which is a 5.0 m, 6-pole PCU-to-HCU cable kit.
